Audiovisual and IT Equipment for the Travel Technology Industry Leader
The company’s motto is: Technology to change the world. The challenge was to deliver AV and IT solutions that would meet the expectations of an international company that deals in software and technology on a day to day basis. Meticulously taking care of every detail, we selected the proper equipment and we designed a system that would meet the client’s needs. This way we had a modern office created, seamlessly matching new trends, looking after the employees’ needs and facilitating business talks...The main goal of the AV infrastructure at the company’s Polish branch was to introduce a high standard for communication with a specific focus on the conference rooms, as well as providing comfortable working conditions. It was vital to create a space to facilitate professional activity, but also to allow space for relaxing and chilling out. The company is located at the Tischnera Office building in Kraków and has 15 thousand square meters over six floors at its disposal. Its building provides working space for over 13 00 people, a relaxation and chillout zone, spaces for training, informal meetings, as well as individual and group work. In the company’s building we implemented a number of videoconference solutions to support remote work. It was crucial to adapt the conference rooms and business meeting rooms to facilitate international cooperation between the company branches all over the world.
Solutions implemented:
The scope of work for the IT industry leader included designing and implementing an AV system over six floors and 15 thousand square meters. The company has a Town Hall space, VIP zone, 45 conference rooms, chillout rooms, a lobby and a kitchen.
A key aspect for designing the AV infrastructure was arranging the Town Hall space dedicated for internal company communication. Another function served by such spaces can be conducting training or informal business meetings. The room comes equipped with multimedia devices for displaying information content, as well as for conducting training or getting in touch with those who, for example, work remotely. The Town Hall zone was divided into three smaller spaces. It was equipped with a comprehensive AV system, including a 6x2 LED screen with a pixel pitch of 1.5 mm, two 85’’ repeating monitors mounted on ceiling lifts, six 65’’ repeating monitors, a Cisco videoconference system with 2 cameras. The sound propagates through the ceiling sound system and is captured by digital microphone systems. We fitted this room with stage lights, which not only serve their primary function, but also act as a decoration. The entire system is controlled from an iPad, locked away in a wall frame with a motorized panel release mechanism secured with a PIN number.
A VIP zone is available at the office for videoconferencing. It offers five vertical monitors of various sizes. They were positioned in such a way that they can all display common content. It gives an impression of the image moving through all monitors at the same time.
Conference rooms are key workplaces at the company. A total of 45 such rooms are distributed around the office, varying in size from 10 to 30 people. Sound and image quality are important, so all conference rooms come equipped with professional videoconference systems by Logitech and Creston Flex that natively support Microsoft Teams. Additional equipment includes table-mounted microphones and media ports, the number of which is selected to correspond to the size of the room. A videoconference can be launched and planned in the calendar using a computer, a dedicated app or from the room booking panel level just outside the room. Properly equipped conference rooms are a business card for the company and facilitate teamwork, as well as delivering business presentations.
A Digital Signage system was implemented inside the office, in rooms such as chill out rooms, lobby, kitchen or elevator halls. Monitors can provide current information of what is happening on the premises or in any particular conference room, display information messages or animations. Using various effects draws attention and increases a company's prestige.
A videowall was built for the CCTV control room – a signal distribution and control system that provides the option to manage and configure content displayed on the device.
