The UN climate summit in Katowice was an enormous event, engaging many parties, each with hundreds of people working for the overall success. COP24 in Katowice welcomed nearly 30,000 participants and 500 volunteers. There were 8 conference zones available to the participants, with plenary halls, press conference rooms, meeting rooms and several hundred of other premises, including offices, IT centers and places to work and relax. Nearly 2000 people worked on the construction and arrangement of the conference area – both workers of Poznań International Fair and subcontractors. The preparations took exactly 60 days and started on September 28, 2018.

• 80 people of technical staff for • 170 screens and projectors
• 200 microphones
• 2 plenary halls (for 1,600 people) – MCK conference center
• 25 conference rooms of various sizes and arrangements for the negotiators
• 2 conference rooms
6 additional premises – used for over 260 official accompanying events planned
• 3 rooms for high-level meetings, as well as “Action Hub”
• 160 expositions and installations
