Rest Lords invites Customers to visit their showroom, where the line between physical and remote services becomes blurred. The showroom attracts attention not only with its original and glamorous look, but also with unconventional AV solutions....

It should be stressed that the R-ShowRoom project is one-of-a-kind in Poland. In this technologically advanced space, Customers may test massage chairs while attended to by a remote advisor, who is located in another city. The project was delivered in cooperation with Rest Lords, who were responsible for the creative concept of R.A.R.E. – Remote Assistant Real Experience. The Brill AV Media team was responsible for the design and deployment of AV solutions, as well as system implementation and integration. Together, we arranged an incredible 100 sqm space equipped with 12 luxurious massage chairs. At the showroom, particular emphasis was placed on ensuring top notch audio-video parameters, so that each Customer feels extremely comfortable. Special care was taken to ensure proper acoustic adaptation, as well as the best quality image and sound.

The entire AV system was designed and configured to meet the Customer’s needs and tackle demanding applications, such as: image tracking and cropping, voice distinguishing and sound enhancement.

At the central point of the showroom, a 98" Samsung screen is mounted vertically, capable of 24/7 operation, providing a life feed of the virtual advisor in natural proportions. Additionally, there are also two 55" duplicate monitors in the room, presenting various content and messages, such as schemes of remotes or the operating manual for a given chair.

A PTZ 12x optical zoom camera with a 80° horizontal field of vision is also installed in the room. It provides functionalities such as image rotation, tilting and magnification in order to perfectly adapt to the space arrangement and size. Such devices eliminate limitations related to routing, data transfer and image quality that are typical for USB cameras. A consolidated audio-video stream is delivered to a streaming platform through a single USB connection that does not require any drivers.

A Shure ceiling microphone, fitted with an automatic zone coverage feature, is placed in the central point. This microphone ensures better directionality and more natural speech. Moreover, the integrated IntelliMix® DSP processor eliminates noise and echo and provides unmatched sound clarity and intelligibility during remote connections. For excellent timbral quality, the system was enhanced with two active, near-field, bass-reflex type studio monitor speakers by Yamaha, which are equipped with two amplifiers to ensure supreme sound and unique monitoring efficiency. The devices are fitted with: an 8-inch low-tone cone woofer and 1-inch dome treble speaker, large magnets as part of the advanced magnetic loop and a built-in bi-amping system (75 W LF plus 45 W HF) for high-performance 120 W power amplification, as well as a dedicated mounting ring that eliminates undesired vibrations and frequency resonance.

The showroom Customers and the service personnel communicate in real-time, therefore a dedicated streaming studio was designed and built at the client’s headquarter in Olsztyn. Rest Lords placed emphasis on the streaming quality and smooth communication without disturbances and delays. To this end, both locations are fitted with a symmetrical fiber-optic link. The Rest Lords headquarter has become an advanced management and control center. A dedicated on-line transmission studio is equipped with monitors, relaying the advisor readout and feed from 4 cameras in Warsaw, touchscreen to control presets, Blackmagic camera, shotgun studio microphone and studio lighting. Transmission management is based on the QSC system and performed with the use of a video mixer (Stream Deck), and a master key for both locations is a VPN system.

This is the first such project not only in Poland, but probably also globally. It was successfully implemented thanks to the cooperation between the two companies right from the stage of the concept creation. When implementing more demanding projects, the things of key importance are mutual trust, and in this case, the key to success was diligent fulfillment of the entrusted tasks and openness to suggestions from both parties. We are happy that through cooperation with Rest Lords we were able to create a cutting-edge, pioneering project.
