41st Session of the UNESCO World Heritage Committee

Approximately 3,000 people from 140 countries were taking part in the 41st session of the UNESCO World Heritage Committee, which began on 2 July in Krakow. The session was held in Poland for the first time.

The 41st session’s programme included plenary sessions of the Committee and parallel events such as the Young Professionals Forum and – organised for the first time on the initiative of Poland and UNESCO – the Forum of World Heritage Site Managers and the Civil Society Forum.

The organizer of the 41st session of the UNESCO World Heritage Committee on behalf of the Polish government was the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, which was preparing the event in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Interior and Administration and the Krakow authorities. The event was coordinated by the National Heritage Institute.

During this event Brill AV Media supported BERM Creative Production Group with technical services – sound, lighting, and vision systems. The session venue was the ICE Kraków Congress Centre, one of the most advanced conference facilities in Europe. The session’s opening ceremony took place on 2 July at Wawel Royal Castle in Kraków.
